Statistics prove that a proper diet and exercise are essential for longevity, quality of life, and fewer doctor visits. We are still gathering those statistics for seniors, but this seems true no matter what age you are, and especially poignant for senior adults. A diet rich in whole, non-processed foods is truly the best source of appetite fulfilment, energy, healing from injury or disease, and a high quality of life where you just feel better.
Likewise, we are forging relationships with partners who promote the value of strengthening the core of senior adults in their mid-section. This can dramatically increase stamina, combat muscle deterioration, and oftentimes reduce or eliminate the need for mobility aids like walkers or wheelchairs.
Below are tools and checklists to help start the journey, and as with all of our H.U.W.A. strategies, we are adding partners who work with seniors on these matters because we think it’s important. We will also ensure that any solution is affordable, but we believe you will also discover that you trade the high cost of some treatments or services for the lower costs of eating higher quality, yet lower quantity, foods and feeling confident to move around freely with fewer issues.
